She took a risk and bet on her dream. Margarida Perpétua changed a professional path in Marketing and Communication for Interior Design. The knowledge and skills acquired at LSD allowed her to launch her brand and Line Interior Concept and to be an entrepreneur.
01. What is your background? What did you do before attending LSD?
I graduated in Advertising, Marketing and Communication and had already been working for five years in the area at Altice Portugal.
02. Why did you choose LSD and your course?
I did a lot of research on the best Interior Design schools in Lisbon, because I really wanted to change my area, and since the financial investment was big I wanted to be sure I was making the right choice. I ended up choosing LSD because of the positive comments I heard and read about the school.
03. Indicate an outstanding moment of your journey in LSD.
The Douro project (a project of a villa located in Douro where the goal was to make the layout of the villa and the decoration of some environments of our choice). It was, without a doubt, the project I enjoyed doing the most, it made me think, and this is what I want to do every day!
04. How did the course at LSD contribute to your career path or the creation of your brand?
If it wasn't for LSD I would still be working as a freelancer and in my field of training. The knowledge LSD gave me was enough to drop everything and create my brand Line Interior Concept and become self-employed.
05. What advice would you give to those who have the dream to follow this area?
Take risks, but always with your feet on the ground. If we don't work to achieve our dreams, they will never be anything more than that, dreams. Take the risk and turn your dreams into achievements!
